Setting everything to 0:0:0 is like turning stress off. Lower numbers mean less stressful Dwarves. What that means is, they have a minimum stress propensity of 0, an average of 45, and a max of 100. If all else fails, you can edit the raws, creature_standard.txt under STRESS_VULNERABILITY, it should be like 0:45:100. I wouldn't get discouraged if you have 2-4 stresspots, just set them up on a profession that fits their personality traits and keep them away from noble/military positions and they may revert back. ![]() With the current way stress is handled it's almost impossible not to get a few stressed Dwarves, but it is possible to set them up and rehabilitate them once you notice their little flashing arrow. Given the SCIENCE involved in this game though, I'm not sure there exists much better forms of experimentation lol. Despite this, beatboxers managed to uplift my dwarves more than anything else. Legendary+5 Musicians might create better thoughts only if they have an instrument to play, but I didn't really luck out with any musically inclined migrants. You still get the "witnessed performance" positive thought whether you have instruments or not. Instruments don't seem to matter much assuming you lack any Dwarves who can play them well. Some outliers did exist: Miners were creaming their pants at the thought of quarrying out the entire map, whereas most other Craftsdwarves didn't care too much. They both provide a positive thought, and without them they both provide a negative.Įcstatic Dwarves were idle far more often than non-idle dwarves. Temples are pretty much a given, as well as libraries. I don't think the goblets had anything to do with it, and because I had well over a dozen types of booze it's possible the dwarf had one he had a personality trait for. Never once did a see thoughts about goblets I had, billon with clear zircons at around 1400 Dwarf bucks in value, however I did notice they had some "fine booze" or something similar. These ones are less important but every bit seems to be good. Good clothing, jewelry, a nice room, statues in places. Golden tables encrusted with diamonds will get better thoughts compared to a masterwork oak table. I think the mood is based only on the value of the object they admire. ![]() Not uncommon to have 4 good thoughts about doors every week. ![]() Taverns with instruments and dancing (some of my dwarves have seen 10 performances in the past week, it's just non-stop good thoughts).ĭoors everywhere. I've done some testing with my last fort and found a few things that help quite a bit.
